Udu Monarch Issues Proclamation On Visitation

UDU MONARCH APPROVES SCHEDULE OF HOMAGE VISITATION

The Ovie of Udu Kingdom, HRM Engr Mike Ogheneovo Orugbo, JP, KP, Okporua 1, has issued a proclamation on the schedule of visitation to the palace by the seven ruling houses in Udu Kingdom.

The proclamation, which was signed by the Secretary to the Udu Council of Chiefs, Chief Solomon Kpomah, disclosed that the weeklong event will commence on Monday June 16, 2025 to Monday June 23, 2025 at the temporary palace of the monarch at Ekete Waterside.

Details of the approved schedule are as follow:

SCHEDULE OF HOMAGE VISITATION

Monday 16 June 2025
1.00pm – Orhuwhorun Ruling House
3.00pm – Ovwian Ruling House
Chiefs to be with the monarch for the day include:: Chief Austin Lafua, Chief Lucky Dibofu, Chief Sunday Subi and Chief A. Ubido.

Wednesday 18th June 2025

1.00pm – Owhrode Ruling House
3.00 pm – Okporua Ruling House

Chiefs to be in Attendance are Chief Diamond Egbeta, Chief Gowon Ogheneovo, Chief G. Refo and Chief Francis Orogun.

Friday 20th June 2025
1.00pm – Adadja Ruling House
3.00pm – Uloho Ruling House
Chiefs to be in Attendance are Chiefs Joseph Odjeni, Johnbull Asun, Patrick Okorugbo and Lucky Ughelli.

Monday 23rd June 2025
2.00pm – Ohworhu Ruling House
Chiefs to be in Attendance are Chiefs S. Onovughe, Bishop Duke Akpososo, Esiso Akunuhor and Pleasure Ghavwan.

The statement added that chiefs for the respective days should endeavor to be in attendance promptly, on time and fully in their traditional Chieftaincy regalia.
